Something bothers me in my mind

Right now, I am beginning to feel that maybe I should not be a sports fan.  Here some reasons why...

1.  No matter who my favorite athlete is in any sport, there are some people who would disrespect me for liking that athlete.   Two years ago in my English class, I was wearing a t-shirt that has one of my favorite pro-wrestlers and one of my classmates disrespected me, telling me the guy on my shirt sucks, he also tells me that I shouldn't be wearing it, and that I should be a fan of some other guy.  I told him to quit treating me this way but he didn't.  He continued to disrespect me.  It still bothers me in my head today.  I am sick and tired of people who don't respect my opinion of the things I like.  If you people have a problem with the things I like, don't waste my time.   I'm not looking for any trouble.  So please, get off my back.  BTW, just because I am a fan of one favorite wrestler does not mean I can't be a fan of any other wrestler.  If there is something people like and I don't like it, I'm not gonna do anything bad to them because I am a man who chooses his words and actions carefully without putting my ass on the line.

2.  When an athlete in any sport makes a mistake that endanger their career, people start to act rude.  When Jeff Hardy got suspended before WWE Wrestlemania 24 for violationg the wellness policy, a lot of people began to lose respect for him.  I feel that these people have high expectations.  When their expectations are not met, they all get mad.  These need to realize that wrestlers including Jeff are only human.  They are just like us.  They even go through problems in their personal lives just like us.  During Jeff's suspension, his home was burned down to the ground.  He lost everything including his pet dog Jack.  Now that he has returned from his suspension, I am hoping and praying that he learns from his mistakes after all the trouble he's been through because if he makes another mistake, he's gone.  If people continue to hate on Jeff after all the trouble he's been through, I now see them as monsters who think he deserves to have his home burned down to the ground and lose everything they had.  That's just wrong.   I'm also a fan of Chris Benoit and Rob Van Dam, but I never approve their actions that got them into trouble. I'm a fan of what they do in the ring and that's all that matters.

For now, these are the reasons why I should not be a sports fan.  If there are any other reasons, I'll be sure to update this blog.  I know it looks like I've been talking about pro-wrestling most of the time as examples but what I am trying to talk about could be related to any kind sport.
